INTERVIEW
"isla, my sweet little girl. she's the baby of the family, but she and her sister are so close in age that she's not been treated all that differently to sicily. at least i hope she hasn't. she was a very quiet child, right up until the age of six, when... well, isla has... she's, i don't know how to phrase... she was somewhat troubled. she kept playing with imaginary playmates, as children do, but then she would be quite alarmed by them. i wasn't familiar with children having imaginary enemies, and when she started showing up with scratches her father and i took her to a therapist. i have to say it's really helped - she's been the same sweet girl we always knew ever since! she always manages to see the best in everyone, i couldn't be more proud of her."
marion mount, twenty.
"blurb about the character from the point of view of a sibling or other relative."
sicily mount, sister.
"isla is a psycho. not in the possessive girlfriend way, in a 'joe i think i might be possessed, call an exorcist' way! i knew she was quirky, sure. she liked to have things organized in very certain ways, and she had this thing about kids. but she was witty and sexy and man, she always fucking swallowed, so i didn't take much notice. but she'd freak out over the smallest things, like me using her towel, or even hugging her after she'd had a shower! she had a thing about wetness on dryness, something along those lines. as sweet a fuck as she was, i couldn't deal with her irrationality and eventually she left me, accusing me of being narrow minded and not taking her seriously enough. lord knows how that could be the case."
joe hardy, twenty-two.
"blurb about the character from the point of view of an old teacher or a former employer."
jennifer cowell, forty-eight.
"isla has a heart of gold, i promise you. she has such endless patience with people who need it - the elderly, the disabled, even the socially inept! i guess the one group she doesn't handle too well is children, not sure why, but that's just one of her quirks. everyone's got their own little idiosyncrasies! isla and i have had some of the best fun together, and she's the best friend you could as for. i've known her my whole life, and yeah, she can take dislikings to people, she can behave rashly, but i couldn't name you anyone more genuinely concerned for the welfare of other people. provided the people in question aren't children."
billy dee, twenty.
"i hope isla really is as haunted as she believes herself to be, and finally gets dragged to hell. psychotic bitch."
ellie hardy, twenty-two.
PERSONAL
but really, i am... isn't that the hardest question you could ever ask a person?
and i live by... "consciousness is unquantifiable, a ghost in the machine, barely considered real at all, though in a sense this flickering mosaic of awareness is the only true reality that we can ever know."
