-- he had his failings, granted, but he was so nice to eponine ! but if you re-write it, do me a favour and kill cosette before jean valijean takes her to paris. i liked her so much better as a starving orphan.

nice to eponine? she clearly wants his dick, right? and what does he do? sends her off with the letter to cosette, and then eponine gets shot. the only thing nice he did for eponine was held her until she died, which was his fault, i don't think it was nice, i think he had to do it. cosette and javert have a torrid affair in my rewrite.

-- he gave her a bit of money = nice. which should end with them pulling an adolph and eva and comitting suicide together.

he did? i've only seen the musical. once. it was on tv the other night and my sister made me watch it with her via skype. yes, yes! with the thénardier's weeping over the lost goods to be picked from their bodies.

oh, but she still died in the novel didn't she? i'm not a fan of musicals in general so i'm the wrong person to ask. too much absinthe, i bet.

-- obvz, you can't write a romantic novel without the death epinone-ish characters. go watch the producers, your opinion of musicals will change forever. at least, it should. possibly, but idk if there could be such a thing as too much absinthe. except, you know, the lethal amount.

this is true, it's not a good romance without tragedy. i highly doubt it, my sister got the musical sensibility, i got the stunning wit. at least you'd go out having fun?

-- well, seeing as the producers is stunningly witty, that shouldn't be a problem! maybe, but the more probable result would be being saves by nosy friends, and waking up in a hospital bed feeling like shit, which may not be very fun.

i just might have to give it a try then. that's a rather depressing vision, if you ask me.

-- you have to, obviously. doesn't seem appealing to me either, but i haven't really tried it, so you never know.

my sister will be jealous you accomplished something she never could. you've never had absinthe?
