INTERVIEW
"although thea isn't my biological daughter, she may as well be. she's wonderfully sweet, if not a bit offbeat, but i believe that's what is so endearing about her. she's protective about those she cares about and she has a terrible amount of potential. her father and i have been trying to convince her to come back to the city and to enroll at school to pursue her dream of becoming an architect, but she's having none of it. i think she's just too young right now to want to do anything serious with her life. we aren't too bothered, though, because she's still got a good head on her shoulders, even if it doesn't seem like it."
hannah lincoln, forty-five
"thea's a bit weird, yeah? like, not absurdly strange, but she marches to her own beat. when we were young, it was really cute, but it's gotten a bit strange now that she's older. i've settled down - i've got a family now - but she's still living like she's sixteen. she designs for a living, which is kind of worrying, and she's a bit vapid, although that's just how she acts. i love her though. she's my sister, after all. the way she dresses is seriously weird though. it's like she's an old grandmother - or a transgender man."
corinne lincoln, sister
"she's honestly hilarious, but not a good girl to date. she falls in and out of love so easily - it leaves you with whiplash. she's really fun though, honestly, it's just hard to be with her. she can be so sarcastic that sometimes you're unsure of whether or not she's happy or upset with you. it's impossible to pin her down, especially when she does that thing where she acts stupid. she only does it to keep from having to focus on the important things, but it's still annoying. great girl, though, in general. i don't regret our relationship, but i would've preferred we had stayed friends."
hugo marcs, twenty-two
"ms. lincoln was in my maths class and she struggled a lot. i think it had to do with the fact that she didn't pay attention very much, but i think she tried. she's got a short attention span, which she admitted to, but it would have helped if she hadn't been constantly doodling in her notebook. i believe she's gone on to pursue her love of the arts, so i'm glad to hear that, but she was not a particularly strong student."
january amer, thirty-six
"blurb about the character from the point of view of their best friend."
first last, age
"she's my step-cousin, right? and i hate her, a lot. i've only met the dumb bitch a few times, but she's honestly so annoying. she's got that whole tomboy artist thing going for her, but it's kind of ridiculous. like, she came to visit her mother and at first, i had no problem with her, except for her huge eyebrows. then, she met my boyfriend. he was all over her and she didn't even care. or notice. but she flirted back and it was so fucking ridiculous. when i called her on it, she called me an insufferable twat and said ignored me for the rest of the week she was at the compound. the audacity of her!"
alexandria cruz, twenty
PERSONAL
but really, i am... a daughter, a sister, a lover, an artist, and a man repeller.
and i live by... "it's hard to stay mad, when there's so much beauty in the world. sometimes i feel like i'm seeing it all at once, and it's too much, my heart fills up like a balloon that's about to burst, and then i remember to relax, and stop trying to hold on to it, and then it flows through me like rain, and i can't feel anything but gratitude for every single moment of my stupid little life. you have no idea what i'm talking about, i'm sure. but don't worry, you will someday."
