INTERVIEW
"i was unaware that i even had another daughter up until a few years ago. you see, acantha's mother is... someone i met during a business trip. we had a wonderful night together and that was the last i saw of kate. it was only when she passed, did acantha contact me. at first, i believed her to be lying, but after a blood test and the thorough inspection of her medical records, i was shocked to find she was truly my child. she's very different from her sisters - mine and my wife's children - and much more like her mother. she's not exactly unambitious, but she's rather apathetic. she's a nomad. since i gained custody of her, i've only seen her a few times. i don't believe she ever feels tied down by such sophomoric things as familial bonds and relationships. it bothers me a bit, but i accept it. after all, she's old enough to make her own decisions."
alfred de havilland, forty-four
"i've only met acantha twice, but she's a beautiful girl. she's very free, unrestricted by the things that my sister and i are. she doesn't care very much, but i think that's what's so intriguing about her. one minute, she's there, and the next, she's gone. she's impossible to pin down, like the flutter of a butterfly's wings. i don't really understand her but she was nice enough the few times we spoke."
aurelia de havilland, half-sister
"she's a cougar, that one. a really hot one, at that. we met through a mutual friend and she did my chest piece. it's great that she's so easygoing, yeah? really simple, uncomplicated, but she's impossible to be serious with. she's always in and out of your life, so attempting to have a stable relationship with her is futile. she just loves travelling, loves going to other places, and she can, because of the money she has from her father, but not me. that's why we aren't together any longer. she wanted to go to the south of france for a vacation and you have to understand that i'm just a small portland boy. i couldn't do that."
marcus leavy, eighteen
"acantha's got a lot of talent. a lot of it, i mean. she's creative but she knows what people want. she gets composition and colour. she's a good artist. she's really involved in what she does. she's actually passionate about the art, about the ritual of it all, rather than just doing it because she needs money. she's a good girl."
bruno raffele, thirty-eight

PERSONAL
but really, i am... not defined by my name or the art on my body or the place that i live.
and i live by... "a quote, lyrics, or excerpt from a piece of literature that describes them or that they relate to."
