"amirah was a handful, you could not get her to sit still at all. i ended up having to pull her out of school and just homeschool because she'd cause a lot of trouble in school, and once she got in trouble she'd try to leave the school, they'd find her hidden in closets or in the playground equipment, where ever she could fit she'd lodge herself until she was found or she knew it was time to go home. she had a talent for hiding. and running, really. after her father's funeral, we didn't see her for a week, one morning we woke up and she was making breakfast in the kitchen like nothing ever happened, didn't tell us where she'd gone or anything. i don't know about her sometimes."

"amirah is a pretty good older sister, i guess. i mean she's no different from yasmin, we're all pretty close, they tend not to leave me out, which i think is cool because i have a friend who has three older sisters and they are only one and two years apart and they always leave her out of things and act like they are so much more mature then her... and i digress. rambling has to be a habit i get from mirah. uhm. i always go to her when im upset, she gives me a lot of advice but mostly she just cheers me up, she's so hyper and crazy it's hard to be in a bad mood, she doesn't let you."
