REASON FOR BEING IN NEW YORK
i've lived in new york for quite some time now, well around three years according to my apartment lease, although admittedly, i haven't actually been here much over the past year. new york always seemed like the place to be, i've always lived in ridiculously picturesque cities which aren't busy in the slightest and truthfully they're boring and i always pined for a really busy city which was still beautiful; new york seemed like the place to come.

"blythe is a very impulsive person, she acts without thinking and never even considers the consequences and honestly, she's never been any different. even as a child, she would just do what she wanted, when she wanted without thinking at all which obviously got her into quite a lot of trouble. blythe is just an extremely confident person, she's been independent from a very young age which i think has something to do with it. despite being this very strong, independent figure, she's the sweetest and most selfless person i know, even if a lot of things she does seem to benefit her more than anyone else, she doesn't think about that side of it. she's my big baby and i adore her, i just wish she wasn't so convinced she doesn't need anyone enough to call me or just come home for a little bit."

"blythe was one of my helpers on my mission in the Himalayas. i was looking for medical students, nurses or people with experience in these sorts of areas, but blythe had absolutely nothing other than the equivalence in biology, chemistry and physics a levels. the thing that made me choose to let her come along with me was her heart, her incredibly open personality, amazing skill with languages and sheer determination that she wanted to help at least one person change their lives completely by the time she was twenty five. she was my first assistant, helping me take care of the patients before and after surgery and learning about their lifestyle, checking up on them whenever i was otherwise preoccupied. she absolutely flourished whenever i told her to follow some young kid who lived in the mountains back to a village in order to find out how everyone who'd had the surgery to remove their cataracts was doing and she rarely came back within a week, choosing to spend time with them, build relationships and even started documenting her experiences online with small video diaries and blog posts. blythe is a girl after my own heart, she just wants to absorb the world into her brain and know everything about everyone out of pure interest. she hasn't got a bad bone in her body and she's just a natural human being. i'd hoped she'd stay with me for longer, but she told me she needed to go home and sort her own life out before she could put her heart and soul into others."
